Description | ATAC-Seq is a rapid assay that analyzes the epigenetic profile of the entire genome by identifying chromatin regions with an open or accessible state. The ATAC-Seq method is fast, simple, and applicable to a wide range of sample types, and has become a commonly used method for epigenetic analysis and can be used as the basis for more in-depth epigenetic analysis. In ATAC-Seq experiments, intact nuclei from cell or tissue samples are treated with a highly active mutant Tn5 transposase. The transposase fragments the DNA while labeling the target DNA with a sequencing junction. |
