Description | It is widely accepted that the CD56 antigen is expressed on NK cells, NKT cells, and human myoblasts. The Human CD56 Positive Selection Kit II is designed to isolate CD56+ cells from fresh or previously frozen peripheral blood mononuclear cells and human skeletal muscle (myoblasts and fibroblasts) cultures by positive selection. Antibody complexes recognizing CD56 and magnetic particles coated with dextran are used to target the desired cells. The cocktail also contains an antibody to the human Fc receptor to reduce non-specific binding. Labeled cells are separated with a magnet without the use of a column. Cells of interest are left in the tubes, while unwanted cells are poured off. |
